EVENT FORMAT

We’ll kick off the evening with some home-grown creative entrepreneurial inspiration! Neige and Pippa are sisters, out-laws, deodorant aficionados and co-founders of routine. natural deodorant.  They are KNOCKING . THE . LIGHTS . OUT  with their made-in-Canada, roots-in Calgary line of products using only clean, wholesome ingredients….no nasty aluminum zirconium, aluminum chlorohydrate, parabens, triclosan, or propylene glycol. They’ll have us “covered” with a gift of a deodorant for every body type and scent preference – 13 scents and 5 formulas including vegan, sensitive skin (baking soda free), and activated charcoal.

We will then break into groups and partake in each of four different rotating sessions where you will engage, learn and depart with your own gifts:

1 – “Cleaner” Skin Care

What we put on our bodies goes IN our bodies.  gro member Keri-Ann from Paterson’s Cabin will help us reflect on what we are putting on our bodies on a daily basis and guide us in a 3-step process of hand massage.  In this 20 minute session, you’ll learn a little about why Keri-Ann started Paterson’s Cabin, what healthy ingredients to watch for in your skin care products and leave with your own 3-part kit of hand-cream, soap and scrub.

2 – Negativity Detox

gro member Heather Norman has been clearing negative energy from people, houses, animals and objects for several years. Heather will guide us through a grounding exercise with the use of energetic crystals to detox negativity from our lives.  I am a portal that gratefully hears, sees or feels what is needed to translate why negative energy is attached. With the help of “Source”, each negative energy is attended to and permanently cleared using the appropriate protocol. I find that this helps us let go of old feelings and emotions that do not serve us, allows the opportunity for self-love, breaks down energetic barriers and allows us to live our best life without fear.”  You’ll leave this 20 minute session with a clear quartz crystal and guiding hand-outs.

3 – Healthy Home

Stevie Stanger is a Certified Holistic Nutrition Consultant, Reiki Master, and Emotional Intelligence Coach. Stevie believes that to bring individuals into radiant health, we must ensure we are cleaning up our internal body and our external environments. Today, she chooses to focus her practice on helping people rediscover their radiance with a collaboration between digestive health, toxic-free living, emotional well-being, and the healing power of Reiki. You’ll walk away from this 20 minute session armed with ideas on how to immediately detox your home, starting with a simple cleaning solution you will create with Stevie’s guidance.

4 – Digital Detox

Never far from her typewriters, Barb Marshall is a local letter writing enthusiast who shares her passion for snail mail in our digital world. Host of both private and café letter writing socials and featured on CBC radio and TV,  Barb highly recommends slowing things down and taking things analog with pen and paper.  Barb is going to take us on a little trip off the grid to the old-school charm of the typewriter and you’ll take home a personal reminder of the importance of unplugging once in awhile.

VENDOR PORTFOLIO

gro will host a series of vendors who will bring their ideas and their wares for you to browse and buy. These vendors have been curated for you to be inspired by their creativity and support our local entrepreneurs and businesses looking to gro. In turn, they have curated their wares to help you gro towards a cleaner lifestyle. Bring your own shopping bags 😉
